For schools & institutions starting their quality journey

Accredo Membership

Accredo Membership is an affordable, budget-friendly entry point for schools and institutions that want access to Accredo's webinars, quality resources, and international network before — or instead of — pursuing full accreditation. Membership is a relationship, not an award, and is clearly distinguished from accredited status.

Who is accredo membership for?

Schools and institutions at the start of their quality journey; small providers for whom full accreditation is a later step; and organisations that primarily want the professional-development network. Members join the community, learn the standards, and can progress to candidacy or full accreditation whenever ready — with membership fees credited toward that step.

What do inspectors assess?

Membership has entry criteria, kept deliberately accessible:

All criteria derive from the ten Accredo Standards, aligned with the ESG framework.

How does the process work?

  1. Register & scoping callCreate an account, complete registration, and join an online knowledge-exploration session so we understand your context.
  2. Self-evaluation & evidenceSubmit the application with documentation mapped to the standards above.
  3. Desk reviewInspectors assess your evidence and request clarification where needed.
  4. InspectionOn-site or virtual: observed teaching, facility review, and interviews with leadership, staff, and students.
  5. Report, decision & awardA graded written report goes to the Accreditation Board; successful institutions are accredited for four years.
  6. Annual monitoringYearly returns and an agreed improvement plan through to reaccreditation in year four.

Typical duration: three to six months. Institutions must have taught a student cohort for at least three months before inspection. Full detail: the inspection process.

What are the benefits?

Frequently asked questions

Is Accredo membership the same as accreditation?
No — and the distinction is enforced. Membership is a professional relationship: resources, webinars, network. Accreditation is an inspected, four-year quality award. Members must represent their status accurately, and the public register distinguishes the two.
What does membership cost?
Membership is deliberately priced for small-institution budgets. The fixed annual fee is quoted on application and credited toward candidacy or full accreditation if you progress.
Can members upgrade to accreditation?
Yes — that progression is the point of membership. Members follow a discounted, guided route to candidacy or full accreditation whenever they're ready.
